More sports confirmed

The Telegraph have reported on a press release from ESPN which confirms the following sports to be shown on the new ESPN channel:

  • UFC (including UFC 101)
  • French Rugby Championship
  • Australian Football League
  • Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
  • FIBA European Basketball Championships
And apparently there is more to come as well.

    None of those are appealing in the slightest. ESPN should have kept ESPN America and not destroyed the subscriber base numbering several hundred thousand before abandoning them in favour of... this kind of garbage !!! What will happen in 12 months when ESPN has only 23 EPL games to offer ?

    Remember that ESPN America will return to Virgin Media eventually, no date set yet.
